Eco Committee Update

The Eco Committee’s leader, Mrs Warrington, has reported that they have quite a few different avenues they are going to take to make the school more sustainable. For example:

1. With the money raised from the student vs staff basketball match, thanks to Tom’s efforts, bins will be provided for the study centre, the refectory and B1.

2. Members of the committee are giving up their time to clear the old reprographics room, to make it the central recycling hub of the school. When this is completed, the committee will be able to sort everybody’s waste and dispose of it more sustainably.

3. In the future, after more fundraising, the committee are hoping to provide more equipment for food preparation.

4. Finally, the committee are also investigating how they could establish their own tuck shop that is eco friendly but also has some wonderful treats!

All this will greatly help the school’s aim into becoming more environmentally-friendly and sustainable.
